We had lunch Christmas week. Despite no booking we were still accommodated. The dining room is fabulous, although I preferred the previous plain glass on the walls; reminiscent of the Hall of Mirrors in the Palace of Versailles. Unfortunately because we had not booked, we were seated in an adjoining annex which was somewhat dull and cheerless. However, this was... More

Used to be La Stampa in the great tiger days; almost always has delivered a slick brasserie menu; set with the standard stuff. Reasonable but not flaming wine list. BUT, the room is incredible; floor to ceiling 20 ft mirrors and a huge high ceiling. Irrespective, of the quality of the food, it is a really impressive room for first... More

I really enjoyed my meal. I love the room in this restaurant with high ceilings, friendly staff and delicious food ! Samsara is a great spot for a drink after plus the pink is a fun spot for late nite dancing ! More

The dining room is absolutely beautiful, there is a massive stain glassed window in the ceiling & the tables are beautifully dressed. They have a great selection of Champagnes if you fancy a pre dinner drink. The staff were very attentive & the food was mouthwatering. More

While on a Christmas lunch with my work colleagues on December 17th, the hostess greeted myself and my colleague and said she would take our coats, which we duly handed over and went to our table. When I was leaving the restaurant and went to collect my coat, it was no longer there. To cut a very long story short,... More

Have eaten here many times but hadn't for a while and I'm wondering why! I should have been back sooner! Excellent pre Christmas buzz, amazing decor, menu to die for! Scallops and the goose fat roast potatoes are amazing! If you have never tried get in there asap!! More

I frequently dine at Balzac, sometimes once per week! I have always found the food to be excellent ( but WHY did the Chef modify the Posset recipe?; it was perfect in its simpler incarnation! ) and the staff consistently welcoming and efficient; I particularly reccomend the waitress , who, in my experience, has unfailingly been warm and attentive. Bon... More

Great food and so reasonable - there is a real buzz in this restaurant. We had never been before and were really surprised to get this quality of food at a reasonable price. We had the set menu and I would wholeheartedly recommend Balzac More
