I went here with 7 work colleagues Thursday 2nd February 2012. Restaurant acts as the Hotel Restaurant and was quite busy. I had Terrine to start which was tasteless the scotch quails egg was nice which accompanied the starter. All the starters were around €11 apart from the soup which was €6.50. I heard great things about the goats cheese... More

The tastier menu is much better value that the a la carte menu. One thing though all the people eating must choose it or it's not available. More

Loved it the first time I ate there last year but went back in Nov for a work night out and thought the menu was very limited. Service wasn't great either. I did have ham hock for starter and it was AMAZING. More

We ate with friends at Augustine's. The quality of the food was very good, but the portions were very small and the prices were quite high. We are not big eaters, but we would have liked a larger portions of potatoes and vegetables served with the main course. My wife complained of still feeling hungry after the meal. Disappointing, because... More

New Year's Eve dinner special fixed price dinner €50 - glass of sparkling wine, amuse bouche, 3 courses (with good choices) and tea/coffee. Imaginative cooking with local produce. Attentive service. Good selection of reasonably priced wines as well as more expensive special bottles. More

Waitress pouring wine spilt every glass she poured, waitress read out the specials and was very difficult to understand what she said! Didn't cater for children which should have been mentioned to us at time of booking when we stated had children in group. Food was extremely slow to come out even allowing for time of year. We got coffee... More

We went here on a work night out and I was hoping for a big improvement on my last visit. The reception was warm and friendly and we were ushered to our seats in a very professional fashion. Unfortunately everything just went downhill from there. The food was just ok and service, though friendly, was lightning fast. This restaurant just has... More

I've been to most of the best restaurants in Cork by now, and this is justifiably ranked among them. The food is undoubtedly as good as (or sometimes better than) the food anywhere else. The tasting menu is unique among them however in the experience it creates. The excitement and fun of experiencing such a variety of dishes and flavours... More
