Lovely restuarant with a great wine list. The owner manager is worth talking to if you want a special wine. Nice night out. Finish with a drink in Crane Lane accross the street.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Cork, never fails to impress. Stunning wine list. Menu changes weekly and every thing is sourced locally and based on what's available seasonally. LOVE THIS PLACE.

Booked this restaurant to celebrate a birthday on a Saturday evening recently. Unfortunately, there is limited choice on the menu with essentially two types of steak and 3 other choices to pick from.
Unfortunately for the restaurant, though it is quite small and could have a nice atmosphere, the management and staff are unable to control their customers. A ‘sing-song’...

Hadn't visited in a long time and unfortunately the service hadn't improved. Pity as the food was good. Waited for drinks, menus and food - much better places at this price range.

Four of us had the unfortunate experience of dining at Jacques last night. When the highlight of a meal is the coffee you know you're in trouble but more of that later! The only reason this is a 2 star review is because 1 of the main courses we ordered was acceptable - the rest of the food fell far...

I want to reply to this review as i feel it was vindictive & very unfair to all of us in Jacques.
1. Your table was not ready when you arrived in as it was possibly the busiest day in the year.I am sorry but sometimes it is hard to move people from tables despite promising they would be gone....

Jacques has been on the go in Cork for quite a while and a recent visit reminded me of everything that is good about the place. The food, relatively traditional, is top notch and the food is well sourced, perfectly cooked and well presented. Meats, game and fish are all excellent and the wine list ensures that there is something...

Perhaps in another time, or with another chef, Jacques was the fine dining that they claim to be worthy of a Michelin star, but when we visited we were not impressed with either the food or the service. I would recommend skipping Jacques, especially if you only have a night or two in Cork.

I have eaten at this restaurant many times and always make a beeline for it when in Cork. The food is really very good indeed, especially fish or seafood. However, it is expensive and there is sometimes quite a long wait between courses or when waiting for the bill. I would recommend it for a special occasion.

This restaurant has been serving top-notch food in Cork for over 30 years. It's warm, cosy and always inviting.
No pretensions here. Food is top quality, cooked to perfection and very attractively presented. Generous portions.
Wine-list is attractive and very well-priced....the house wine is excellent and affordable.
NO hesitation whatsoever in recommending this restaurant.
