Came across this tea room by accident one afternoon when we were walking towards Buchanan Street looking for somewhere to have a coffee and discovered a real gem. It is a lovely old building nicely decorated with tiles. The staff were very friendly and the service was prompt. We decided on tea rather than coffee as they have such a... More

My friend & I headed into Cup Tea Lounge today, a very dreary, wet Saturday afternoon in Glasgow! We enjoyed a champagne afternoon tea, with a cheeky wee cocktail afterwards! It is quite possibly one of the nicest afternoon teas I have had....apart from The Dorchester Hotel in London on my mums 80th birthday! The surroundings are beautiful. Cup tea... More

You may need to book a table. I was lucky that at 11.30am on Saturday I could be seated. Best eggs benedict I've ever had, and lovely pot of tea. After viewing some of the cakes and scones being served to fellow customers I decided another pot of tea and a scone with cream and jam would be nice. Breakfast... More

Wow- what a gem! I've passed this place a couple of times recently but didn't have time to pop in- so made the effort to go today. We had the lunch special - fantastic for £8.95 each. For that you get a 'cup' of soup, a sandwich, a cup cake and tea/coffee. There was a good choice of sandwiches and... More

Well what a nice little find this place is it is well worth going inside. From stepping inside the Cup Tea Lounge to leaving we can not fault this place and the staff. The welcome was nice and pleasant, the decor is stunning, and the service was very attentive but not over the top This amazing place even caters for... More

After hearing great things about this place, I was not disappointed. I made a reservation for brunch with a friend at 11am and we were the first there, however the lounge quickly started filling up. I ordered the Eggs Benedict which was lovely and my friend had blueberry pancakes which looked divine. We then each had a cupcake - Strawberry... More

Great looking lounge. Very friendly staff and lots of choice. Service a wee bit slow though and cupcakes a bit on pricey side, very enjoyable visit though.

Good sandwiches and cakes, hot scones straight from oven especially delicious! Very good, attentive service. Coffee not great and, in line with many other similar places, a bit expensive for what it is.

Cup Tea Lounge is great for an afternoon tea and the best eggs benedict I have had. The staff are all lovely and are very attentive. We booked afternoon tea for my daughters 10th birthday and the only reason I havent given them a 5 rating is when i booked it more than 10 days in advance and asked for... More

I have visited both Cup on Byres Road and Cup Tea Lounge many times and I just can't rave enough about it. The service is impeccable and each time I have seen the owner he has been very welcoming and friendly. The manageress, Sukhy I think her name is, is a delight to chat to and always goes out her...
