Really nice selection of breakfasts made to order. Most people take out but the sitting in section is very homely and a great place to relax amongst the album covers.
I love this place. They have a massive menu so there is something for everyone. My personal faves are the Meathammer,Nachthexen & Meat for the Beast. Also if you are going at breakfast time you should definately try the Manfosh. Bacon and egg has never tasted so good! The menu can seem a wee bit pricey at a glance but... More
Always been a lot of hype over this place so gave it a go. To be honest the food is really good and they have some awesome arrangements of food/sandwiches but the service is REALLY slow and there never seems to be that much of a sense of urgency which isnt great at lunchtime if youve walked to get there.... Such an interesting little place. We toured the inside and ordered our food--sooooooo much to choose from that you need extra time to make your decision! Staff was very friendly. We sat outside at a tiny table, enjoyed the sun and the excellent food!
Excellent coffee, great bagel with smoked salmon & scrambled eggs and delicious porridge with honey & fresh fruit. Very reasonable prices. Wish we'd found it earlier. Friendly & efficient service. Relaxing atmosphere. Just loved it.
So delighted that you had a great breakie - the most important meal of the day, they say! Bummer you didn't find us sooner but atleast you found us eventually! Thanks very much for the feedback - we really appreciate it! More
The range of food is class. they join things you would never think of.. "thar she blows " is a must try. It is pricey thats why its a treat but you dont mind spending the money on the food as its excellent. never had a bad bite out of here.
Thanks very much for such lovely feedback Allan! Glad you're enjoying the food! More
I was in for lunch and ordered the full Caesar for 6 pounds, my friend had a hot chocolate. The sitting in/taking away prices vary, and I noticed that I'd been charged the take away price for my salad, which was, strangely enough, more expensive than sitting in (8 pounds for a salad and a hot chocolate). After ordering and... More
Hi James - thanks for the feedback! The difference between the sit in and take out prices is to do with tax - you pay VAT to sit in but not if you take out! Sorry about the confusion. Really sorry to hear that you felt the service wasn't great. Good service is something we take pride in and I'm... More
After walking around Glasgow all morning we were ready for a bite. Lovely soup, great sandwiches, and all very affordable!
Thanks for your lovely comments - glad you liked the food! More
Had done a bit of digging prior to a visit to Glasgow and come across this place and thought I'd give it a shot. Man, am I glad I did. It's not the sort of place you're going to easily come across, located just out of the main shopping streets, buried away under a fine building. Where The Monkey Sleeps... More
Glad you liked the Manfosh and the LPs! You'll just need to visit Glasgow more often! Hope to see you again soon. Thanks for the feedback - always appreciated! More
I thought it was about time I gave WTMS a review. I work near-by, and pop in every day for coffee and soup - I have never been disappointed in either. Good coffee isn't easy to find in Glasgow, but staff at WTMS know how to make a decent cup. The soup on offer is always flavoursome and interesting. The... More
Thanks for the review - nice customers make it pretty easy to be friendly! I can't take any credit for the well made coffees though - that's all Amy, Lauren and Karen! More
