This was our second visit to the fats at the buttery, and like our first experience it was again first class. We booked last minute on a Saturday and took a late time however they called us back as they managed to pull our table forward by 30 mins. The restaurant has character and charm, almost a step back in... More

My fiancée and i went for a meal here after it being recommended by my parents who have been dining here for 40 years. The whole experience was superb and service and food were excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a classy joint with great food. We will certainly be back.

Food, service and atmosphere were all excellent. This is so far our favourite restaurant, make sure you book in plenty of time as we have learned as they get very busy. You will see for yourself when you visit exactly why. The staff slip in and out without disturbing you too much and the food came out hot, fresh and... More

Walked from Byres Road to The Two Fat Ladies but the easiest way would be to take the subway to Anderston from which it is a 2 minute walk. Of course if you are in a car they do have a large car park. The restaurant is decorated with carved timber from old churches and Victorian china and has a... More

Thank you so much to everyone at the Two Fat Ladies, it was wonderful. The ambiance is lovely and cosy yet immaculate. The staff are first class and then the icing on the cake is the food which you expect to be good but is even better. No complaints here. I definitely cant wait to go back to Glasgow and... More

Had lunch with family and it was excellent. Beautiful looking food with great flavour and skillfully executed. Would recommend for a special occasion. The 2 fat Lady's Grand dessert was worth it as it gave 5 desserts to share. We thought it was sublime! Cannot wait to share this restaurant with friends.Service was friendly but professional. The place itself is... More

We booked a table for 14 family members to have lunch to celebrate my parents Ruby Wedding and had the most wonderful afternoon - we stayed for 4 hours! The service was attentive and nothing was too much trouble. They helped us to customise our dining experience with a champagne reception and cake (with doggy bags because we were all... More

I never fail to enjoy eating here. From the welcome on entering to the professional but friendly service to the excellent food, it's hard to fault so why try. We were on a special offer through 5pm which was excellent value and included a glass of wine. It was busy even though it was midweek but the noise level is... More
