This is something of a go-to place for me and it never fails to hit the spot. It has a nice relaxed vibe and cosy feel. It is more of a wine bar than restaurant and the food menu is limited but what they do, they do well. The warm salads and risottos are particularly tasty.

We popped in here for some lunch and ended up sitting enjoying some wine and just chilling out. Very nice atmosphere - great food. Service was a little slow, but we were in no hurry at all and it just encouraged us to relax and enjoy. Would be lovely to go here with partner or a group of friends are... More

This was by far the nicest restaurant we ate at when we visited edinburgh in Nov 2012. The atmosphere was very relaxing, food lovely and fresh and beautiful selction of wines. We actually stayed alot longer than we intended. Definately recommend a visit here.

Popped in for a glass of wine. Felt so at home, eventually we worked our way through most of the Dry Whites recommended. The food platters were really good too! Good place to relax and chat with friends over a few hand-picked bottles of wine.

Located just up from Waverley station this wine par / pub offers an interesting range of wine and food with an excellent choice for vegetarians. The menu is not large but the plates are. The antipasti selection with seasonal veg easily served three of us (£3.95 for bread to go with it was the only gripe we had). Mains were... More

We were in today and were left disappointed. In short, there was a long wait for our food (soup and cheese selection), we had to ask for water, people arriving after us were served before etc. Despite asking for one soup I was eventually brought the wrong one. Another lengthy wait. My soup was nice but the cheese selection was... More

Went here after reading previous reviews, it did not disappoint. Great starter followed by the nicest bowl of risotto I have ever had, the other halfs gnocchi was equally fantastic. Superb staff, great selection of wines and delicious tiramisu. Would highly reccomend this restaurant to everyone.

We started with wine and the olive appetizer, which was great and I saw a few other small plates coming out that looked delish as well. Entree was wonderful, the Italian sausage stew, but the cake and ice cream dessert was UNBELIEVABLE. We all agreed it was the creamiest, best, vanilla ice cream any of us ever had! Go to... More
