Was on a golfing holiday staying at Caernarfon and stumbled across this place early one evening and had to have something to put me on before my dinner proper (just a starter really!). Anyway, the fish I had was absolutely wonderful, best I have had for ages, lovely crisp batter and delicious cod - my mouth is watering as I... More

Tried Ainsworth's based on the fantastic reviews on tripadvisor. Light, crisp batter on the fish and the chips were perfectly cooked. If I had a local chip shop as good as this then I would visit every week.

Went to the chippy with a large order for some OAPs on a rainy day and there was no problem at all, enjoyed the banter from the ains master and his slightly lazy assistant (kidding). We all enjoyed the meal and I'm looking forward to beating the ains master at FIFA 13 on line. Would recommend this excellent chippy to... More

Ainsworth's is not just an excellent chip shop, it's an excellent chip shop with some of the friendliest people around serving you. All the employees are extremely friendly, and I would be lying if I said that Ainsworth's is not, by far, my favorite chip shop. If anyone is looking for a nice chippy to go to, Ainsworth's is an... I've travelled the length and breadth of these fine Isles and you will struggle to find a chippy that will beat this on all aspects of chippying. Friendly and welcoming.

Cai was very attentive to our needs coming in to buy our cod and chips at 3pm. The fish was fresh from the fridge and cooked in good old fashioned batter. I have not tasted fish and chips like this since I was a child. Lovely, crisp and fresh at a very reasonable price. Coming from Fremantle in West Australia... More

Went here after a visit to the castle. We weren't sure where to go so let trip advisor guide us in. We grabbed the four stools in the window and placed our order. The kids wanted chicken nuggets and chips and we opted for a portion of fish bites and chips each. The kids meals came first and I was... More
