Description: The first UK restaurant to be awarded one, two, and then three Michelin stars, Le Gavroche remains a class apart. Since opening in 1967, this Mayfair bastion of French cuisine has been very much a family affair, and chef-patron Michel Roux Jr continues the tradition today. The elegance of the menu and the ambience is impeccably tailored, while the discreet service has won its own plaudits.

Just home from a weekend trip to London, which is filled to the brim with excellent restaurants although i was lucky enough to have received a £150 gift voucher from a family member for Le Gavroche. Although we may have had to add a further £150 to the voucher it was truly the most memorable and talked about food experience... More

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal and experience at Le Gavroche. The young staff made us most welcome and were unobtrusively attentive. Michel Roux came to speak with us and was really nice and down to earth, presenting my wife with a signed menu and book. Whilst certainly on the expensive side, one can see that the costs... More

It has been a while since I have dined at Le Gavroche. Nothing has changed. Impecable ! In times when competition is tough and money is tight ...LG has maintained the highest of standards ...which is something that folk are happy to pay a price for!. I hope when I return again I can write a similar review !

This is old school French with a traditional menu of some note and formal service. Luckily the decor is updated and minimalistic in a masuline, sans doilies kind of way. It was the choice of my French male client and he looked right at home.

Took my girlfriend here for a special treat for a special birthday, I have never eaten in a place like this before, and found the idea slightly intimidating, but I should not have worried, the staff were superb and treated us very well, and I enjoyed having to buy a new wardrobe to wear, normally a jeans and trainers guy,... Not many places have Gavroche’s reputation. Not many places deserve it. We had the menu with paired wines. I tried hard to spot a fault. Some of the wines I don’t think we’d revisit, others were exceptional. The menu starts with a soufflé Suissesse, a Roux signature dish which sets the bar high. The fois gras terrine is a tiny... Waited 3 months for this reservation and it was worth the wait Entering the restaurant we were greeted by a lovely room seated at the bar with a glass of champagne. On entering the restaurant down the stairs it has an intimate feel very welcoming the menu was wonderful and Michele came to introduce himself which was a great touch... More

There simply is no better restaurant in the world. The cooking, the service, the history. Nothing compares!

This was one of the most incredible restaurants I have been to - every mouthful is an explosion of flavours that you don't want to go away. The service was impeccable, the cheese cart is huge! If I could eat here every week then I would for sure.

Been there a couple times and ''perfection'' is the word which describes them. Taste is great and the service is quick and successful. Hoping to be there with my wife soon...
