Something missing since its refurb.I can't put my finger on it. Enjoyable but had better ecperiences
first time at La Trompette was pleasantly surprised . The food was very good . I had the roast chestnut veloute followed by the haunch of venison., both were very good . I followed this with the cheese board which was outstanding.my wife had the crab tortelloni which was the only not so great dish of the evening being a... More
I have dined at La Trompette about eight times over the years and thought it was great. My last meal however was not so good. Everything suffered from the one ingredient too many syndrome. The flavors were muddied and unclear and everything a bit too sweet. What appeared from the menu to be the main ingredient was often lost in... More
This is a solidly proficient restaurant delivering very good food and quality care and service. Dishes are not as as fussy in either presentation or complexity as those in some michelin starred establishments. Some may conclude that its dishes are less "drop dead gorgeous" than you may encounter at other top end restaurants and that is probably true. The fare... More
La Trompette, what can I say. It's always been an amazing restaurant and still continues to be so. I've had two visits to La Trompette this week and each experience has been fantastic. The food is absolutely spectacular and the service is exemplary. We made two visits from Mayfair to Chiswick especially to dine here. I can not recommend La... More
Oh what joy to discover a truly fabulous eatery. We had promised ourselves a visit for some time and finally made it! We took 4 business guests for dinner and we were not disappointed. Given that the wonderful Rob Weston - chef extrodinaire - worked with the equally noble Phil Howard (The Square) for many years, it is little wonder... More
Excellent cooking, wonderful presentation and a welcoming staff. I have lunched and dined here on several occasions and never been disappointed. The lunch menu is particularly good value. The wines are a bit pricey if you move away from the house wines. It is a good list but I think that 10% lower prices across the board would be fairer.
I have never had a bad meal here! The food is amazing! Love going for lunch cause the food is on the heavy side. Lunch is such good value. Can have a slightly stuffy atmosphere tho.
We ate here for lunch. First up I should say that £27.50 for 3 courses is amazing value at this calibre of restaurant, and puts far more ordinary places in the shade. The choice was excellent - I could easily have ordered half the menu. The food was very good - I would only say that for the calibre of... More
I ate here on the 20/11 and I had a amazing three courses with the Guinea fowl for main and the chocolate wafers for dessert being second to none and I would like to thank the little bread lady for a wonderful evening , although I feel we were a little overwhelmed with the amount of body's serving us she...
