Good choice of dishes for all courses without being too much choice. There were 7 of us on a business lunch and we all had good food. Service was attentive without being intrusive.
We dined at 34 Grovsenor Square in late November, 2013. The restaurant was recommended by our hotel concierge in Mayfair when I asked, on a Sunday, for a good, local, not too fancy place to eat. It was a great suggestion. The restaurant is warm and inviting and the staff was very nice and good. It was a cold night,... More
Had an early evening meal here and the food was superb. A table of 4 and everyone was delighted with their choice. Staff were attentive and the surroundings were very nice. Not cheap but well worth it because the standard was faultless.
Booking a table was easy, our table was ready on time. Our starters were awesome, but my New York strip was not as good as i was hoping. Nevertheless the ambience is good - the music was nice and while we were sitting next to the band we could have a conversation without yelling. I totally recommend this place for... More
As with all the restaurants in the Le Caprice stable a classy place from the moment you walk in. A weekday lunchtime and the place was jumping with a real mix of people not just business people. As I had been in New York the weekend before I decided to choose the same as I had done there to compare!... More
Lovely atmosphere inside the restaurant (live jazz band playing) - staff very smart and helpful. The food is pricey but good. I was particularly impressed by an absolutely lovely cocktail I had (orange, lavender, vanilla). It only loses marks for the cost - I don't think it compares to the quality of food you could get at somewhere like Hawksmoor... More
Had a great meal at 34. The food was all tasty and well cooked. The menu offers plenty of choice so everyone can be happy. Service was efficient and friendly. The piano playing a nice background sound, we were sat quite close and it wasn't intrusive. Not cheap and full of suited men during the week but that didn't affect... More
All of the staff were very accommodating and helpful. We were four, and had a spacious round table in a quiet part of the restaurant. The servers knew the menu, and helped us choose. Food was excellent, and is definitely worth a return trip.
We had booked a table for a late lunch preceding a corporate event at the Grosvenor. The front of house staff were stand offish, so not a good start, but the rest of the staff were pleasant and very attentive. The food was excellent. Probably a little pricey but worth it for a treat.
