Food was well prepared and authentic Italian family style. The garlic bread is very tasty, but don't fill up on it before the entree.
Visited this restaurant after an exhausting day at the Country LIving Exhibition at the Design Centre nearby. The service was excellent, admittedly, we were the only diners in the restaurant when we first arrived but nevertheless, they were friendly, attentive chaps. The food came quickly and was plentiful. Don't make the mistake we made of ordering garlic bread with the... More
How you recover from a mistake really sets you apart... this was one of the worst recoveries I have ever seen. We arrived at 8:45pm on a busy Saturday night and were immediately seated at a table for two at the back of the restaurant. Ordered wine and water which arrived within 10 mins... so far so good and food... More
Was i London last weekend and a friend suggested La Forchetta i couldn't thank him enough because it was a great suggestion, we had a nice time and it was a good experience and the food delicious the service was good . Thanks to all at La Forchetta we defiantly go back
Me wife and I dined here at the end of Sept (2013) to celebrate our wedding anniversary whilst on a weekend break to London. We picked the restaurant due to proximity to where we were staying - Islington Hilton. We had walked up and down half of Upper Street during the afternoon just to have a look at what places... More
I made a booking for two through Top Tables website, but since Top Table doesn't publish negative reviews any more I will share my experience with Tripadvisor users. We arrived little bit late, but since restaurant wasn't busy (it was Saturday evening, maybe that's a clue?) we got the table straight away. Our booking offer was for two courses and... More
I visited this restaurant yesterday evening with my mother for a meal and was once again totally satisfied with food, service and price. It was our second visit in two months. Had a delightful fish pasta dish followed by the best tiramisu we have ever tasted. Will most definitely be going again Yum :0)
I will preface this by saying we were a group of circa 20, but it was a Wednesday night and not very busy. We sat down at 830, the starters didn't arrive until 920, some even later. Mine, the orrichiete, was tasty. The main courses arrived reasonably promptly, but my chicken was very small for £14 and I had finished... More
First visit to this restaurant and definitely won't be the last. Lovely decor. The staff were friendly and attentavie, whilst giving efficeint service. Food was devine. To summarise, I had a really lovely meal, at a good price.
There were 5 of us popped in for tea. Service was ok but when the food came my potatoes were ice cold. Fair enough they changed them but the shock came in the bill. The dish was on the bill which you might think fair enough as they replaced it, however the service charge that was added was very poor.... More
