10 of us piled into this curry house back in January.A lot of reviews here have given it a bad write up but to be honest apart from very average service, the food itself was not bad.I had to agree with barzini concerning the loitering waiters and wish like in many other Chinese/Indian restaurants they would stop this as it is... I definitely regret not checking out previous reviews for this place. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, my nephew had arrived after a stressful day and delayed journey and we just dived into the nearest place - and it looked reasonable. Big mistake. I never like waiters trying to 'clear up' before the diner has finished. I had to tell them... More

The management should consider remaining this as the Worst Indian Restaurant. Their service was one of the worst I have ever experienced. Rude and impolite would sum up the service. Food - nothing special. No flavour and too expensive. However they do remember to add a service charge to the bill after all this. If you ever come across this... More

Despite the name, the restaurant is far from grand although the service was good. Soggy poppadoms and insipid chutneys. The main course of chicken rogan was so overloaded with tomatoes that the chicken was difficult to find. The rice was not hot and the nan bread was served in a pot with a lid that made that just as soggy... More

This Indian restaurant is appalling. Whilst looking busy it is obviously with 1st time visitors . My starter of tandoori chicken was luke warm. My main meal of chicken shashlick was again cool, upon further studying I realised the chicken was raw . I left the meal as i obviously cant eat raw chicken the only apology was to just... More

This is not a good restaurant. Food is below average - I've had better in Sainsbury's. Space is minimal - too many tables crammed in. Service - Awful - took ages to get served, not offered drinks or poppadoms before ordering. Expensive - So not worth £40 for two main meals and a drink each - con! Especially the rip... More

I was staying in the st martins lane hotel and went to see if I could find an Indian restaurant close by. Unfortunately I found one. I walked in and asked for a table for 1. I was squashed into a table, having to bring my but so close to the lady at the table next to me it was... More

The food was great and I loved it. The waiter huffed and snorted at my choices (too little food). He was simply rude. The menu warns that 12.5% was included for service but then the waiter expects even more, the bill is misleading and the unwary will tip twice!

On a recent vacation in London I wanted really great Indian food, we happened to be at Trafalgar square and the locals said head towards Lechester Square! We walked over, maybe 5-10 minutes max and found this place on a small street and there were lots of people dining inside. The restaurant was clean the food was really great and... More

When in Covent Garden my wife and I fancied an Indian meal and had just passed this restaurant and remembered that they had curry of the day with rice and a nan bread for £7.50. We were the only customers in the place at dinner time in a busy area! The waiter tried to get us to order from the... More
