Description: Just a 2-minute walk from Covent Garden tube station, Cote Restaurant serves straightforward and freshly prepared French food at value for money prices in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Winner of the award for 'Best Value Restaurant in the UK' in the Good Food Guide 2009, the inspiration for the food and design comes from a modern interpretation of the many famous bistros found throughout Paris. Since the locals have turned away from overpriced and over-complicated cuisine in Paris' more formal restaurants, there has been a revived interest in returning to the simple basics of French bistro cooking. The Cote menu offers classic dishes including Steak Frites, Salad Niçoise, and free-range chicken from the Les Landes area of France. There are also lighter dishes such as Roast Sea Bass with olive oil mash and a garlic and tomato dressing, or Salmon Hollandaise. Crème Caramel and Crème Brûlée are the house specialities for dessert.

We went for lunch but the menu is good for anytime of the day; a quick lunch, or a slow dinner. The staff were good, quick to appear to take orders for a drink, to take orders for food and also quick to tell us there was a slight delay. No pushing anything in particular. The food was well presented... More

Booked a table of seven to celebrate our twin daughters 21st birthdays. The food and service was excellent and reasonably priced. All the food was well presented and very tasty. The staff were attentive and polite allowing us extra time to decide what we wanted to eat. We all had a variety of starters and main course - all were... More

OK we are not talking Michelin stars here but just good food at very reasonable prices right in the heart of London. Not forgetting excellent staff. We ate asparagus soup which was dleicious and seemed as though its made on the premises followed by chicken with frites. All food very tasty and washed dwon with a resaonable bottle of woine.... My family dined here before going to the theatre to see top hat. The service was reall good despite being very buy you never felt neglected. The tmosphere is reall nice. I went here for a pre theatre dinner with a friend. It's great value, with a pre-theatre set menu with some good choices as well as an extensive a la carte menu. The wine list is also very fair. We had good steak and I had a very nice salad nicoise with fresh tuna. Food of a high standard, good... More

Whilst staying in London we always eat breakfast here which is good and served with a smile. A good selection of dishes on the dinner menu, I had sea bass with garlic and layonaise potatoes which were so mouthwatering delicious. Service was pleasant, food good and the wine was very moorish. Will definitely be back.

On a training course in London and needed to get evening mail quickly and at reasonable price. Stayed at a hotel on Strand and our trainer recommended this place as being efficient and serving good food at a very reasonable price. We chose from the theatre menu which had sufficient selection and was excellent value. The order was taken quickly,... More

We had lunch at this restaurant after checking on TripAdvisor for something close to Covent Garden. The place is just a short walk from the main square. They were doing brisk business on a nice sunny Saturday, but we were seated quickly. The restaurant has a large open room and then some smaller seating areas, which are somewhat cramped, plus... One of the Cote chain offering their usual varied menu. Pre-theatre set menu was good value and service was fine, despite the restaurant being very busy. My criticism of this branch is that it is overcrowded - they've crammed in too many tables, several of which are impossible to sit at in comfort. It also makes it difficult to navigate between... Love Covent Garden, and brunch here was good, but pretty standard. Note that this is a chain, but pretty good and probably quite consistent. Very crisp, clean linens on the table and had a more upscale look for a bistro.
