Travelling from Australia we booked well in advance, we treated my mother in law. Great excuse to get dressed up. Fantastic experience , wonderful setting, attentive waiters, large selection of teas, enough sandwiches cakes and scones to feed the largest appetite. Waiters very willing to take photo's and no problem taking photo's away from the tables before and after. All... More

We went as a group celebrating an occasion and we had a lovely time eating delicious sandwiches cakes and pastries, and the extensive tea list certainly lived up to our expectations. However there was a slight coveyor belt feeling to this when everybody started turning up at 7.30 to get seated and you sort of felt as if you were... More

We booked several months ago – to have an experience – And it was an experience! We were very well looked after from the moment we entered the Ritz to the moment we left. I had anticipated a really crammed room but no the tables are well spaced and the chairs placed to allow conversation. Everything was well timed and... More

I took my daughter to the Ritz as a birthday treat. We had a wonderful time and were very well looked after. From some of the previous reviews, I expected everything to be packed out and chaotic. Yes, every table was occupied, but there aren't *that* many tables, so there's definitely not a feeling of being crammed in as some... More

High tea at the Ritz was something that we had to tick off during our 'London Experience' so we booked a table for 4 friends. It was fun getting dressed up for the event and the place is very nicely decorated. The food was nice and the sandwiches were refillable which meant this meal should satisfy even someone with a... We went for afternoon tea on the 8th June, having booked months in advance to get a 1.30pm slot on a Saturday. Lots of teas to choose from and a variety of sandwiches which were replenished frequently. Scones lovely and light and the cakes just yummy. Luckily the weather was fab so a gentle walk through Green and St James's... More

but I didn't. I understand that there has to be organised sittings but does it really have to be so commercialised? It felt more like waiting to go into a canteen, albeit an opulent one. The Afternoon Tea itself was uninspiring. Asked if we could have a carboard box to take the extra scones home and was told 'No -... More

The doorman took our car for it to be parked and the Greetings were professional and welcoming. If you are simply wanting to park for the length of time of your tea you will find alternative parking nearby at less cost. The ambiance of the dining room was pleasantly opulent but it did feel crowded. The pianist is unobtrusive and... More

A really beautiful building worth going just to see how things were done in the day. Good selection of sandwiches & cakes lots of tea & top ups, service was spot on everyone should do tea at the Ritz at least once, a lovely experience.

Tea, music and splendid restaurant. We had a lovely tea, lots of teas to try, delicious food and plenty of it. Service unhurried but we were last of the day. I have felt more special at other restaurants, but enjoyed the experience. Perhaps if it is a really special occasion pick another place.
