Found this place on line when I was actually looking for a different Indian, but tried it anyway. It is situated in the old Victoria Cross pub which certainly wasn't a nice little country pub and unfortunately the outside wins the prize or "most unpromising exterior to a restaurant ever". One door to the restaurant area is through the main... More

I prefer Asian food where you can see and taste the component parts of the dishes rather than having a processed gloop and that's what you get here. I heard my salmon starter arriving before I saw it - three large chunks of fish still sizzling in the serving dish. It was beautifully moist with a delicate smoky flavour. My... More

I love the twist that the lovely ex-Ghurkas give to their food! Very friendly and good value! I am veggie and have no problems. I do feel that the ex-pub lacks a little bit of style somehow! But warm friendly people and good food!

How lucky we are to have this little gem so close to us. The staff are very friendly. The food is excellent. You can request 'off menu' traditional speciality dishes in advance. I've been going back over and over again. The interior is clean and smart. Always good value for money.

We have been going to this curry house a couple of times a year for the last couple of years. Although it doesn't look pretty from the outside, we always enjoy the food. Beer choice is good also. Price is pretty reasonable. Music isn't too good, we did have to ask for them to put some Indian music on which... More

"Oh dear" i have eaten some awful food in my time but this place takes the biscuit. If you enjoy microwaved slop then this place is for you. As for the decor and ambience it is like a drab 1970s cafe. The toilets are disgusting you are treated to what the last person left behind in the pan "lovely" !!!!... More
