Lovely welcome from the Manager, so much so we returned for a second meal. Watched the ferries from the window as we ate our meals, great atmosphere !
Food was excellent, but would recommend eating in the restaurant upstairs as it has views over the harbour.
Wanted to visit the Spice Island pub, which we did and it was a big disappointment, there were a couple of girls chatting behind the bar whilst I waiting to be served, I then asked if they could serve me and said they were under aged and couldn't!!!! Then went next door to the Still and West and saw people... More
This pub has a lovely atmosphere, cosy and clean. We ate here and it is pub food that is trying to be gastro pub food, it just didn't work. The plaice was very nice. This is one of my favourite pubs and as a local I've been going for years. The new owners have improved the seating and flowers on the tables downstairs are nice. Can we have candles please too? Staff always pleasant. & helpful. But- the fish & chips are nothing like as good as they used to be,especially the chips which... More

We wanted a simple, light lunch so went for the Moules on recommendation of the... More
