Description: Indian Summer is a Brighton based restaurant owned by long time friends and business partners Minesh Agnihotri and Byron Swales. Indian Summer was born from a mutual passion for Indian food and a firm belief that Brighton deserved some genuine, contemporary Indian cuisine which was completely lacking from the food environment at the time. It offers authentic Southern Indian & European cuisine made with traditional recipes from India. You will not find chicken tikka masala here, just great favourites like masala dosa & bhel puri. All our dishes are made individually without additives or colourants & we only use free range chicken. . In keeping with much of India’s culinary traditions much of the food is also gluten and dairy free.

Unimpressed by quality of meat/ amount of meat in dishes! Food bland and expensive. Waitress lovely, very charming. Have travelled extensively around Asia....this restaurant too contrived for my taste. "Smoke and mirrors."

This place is an absolute gem, gorgeous food and brilliant service. The meal we had was tasty, cooked to perfection and full of lovely flavours, it's worth pointing out that this place isn't your average, everyday Indian restaurant, you won't find kormas or tikkas here, it's far more special than that. The dessert was out of this world... a chocolate... More

On a business trip to Brighton and really wanting a curry, I came across this lovely restaurant. I was surprised to be given a delicately spiced Indian soup as an amuse bouche, but this set the tone for the whole meal. It's not your normal Indian restaurant and has lots of fabulously sounding dishes on the menu. I chose the... More

We went on a Saturday night and as a group with mostly west midlanders our curry standards were quite high! The starter was nice but tasted like an average tikka massala, the main course was a slow cooked lamb dish with red chilli's. It literally tasted of coconut and lamb, unbelievably bland. I sent it back which was delt with... More

8 of us went for my birthday, great food as usual and good service. Indian summer has modern style and service, a great fine dining experience (amuse bouche etc) whilst sampling the delights of the Indian sub-continent,

Went there for lunch after reading the reviews on here. Waited ages for drinks even though the place was nearly empty. Food was extremely bland. The sauce accompanying the chicken dish on the set lunch menu tasted like gravy not a curry sauce. One of the dishes had the texture of and tasted like trail mix and way too much... More

Visited on a Saturday night having booked earlier in the day. We had all three courses, and I can recommend that. The Nawabi Murgh was particularly full of flavour, followed by very tender meat with the delicious Lamb Kolhapuri. The third course chosen was Mango Brulee, brittle toffee top with smooth mango underneath, lovely! Waiters were attentive and helpful and... More
