Food was good and plentiful, service very friendly. Decor a bit tired and still has a lingering smoke smell. Quiet, bit out of town.

This turned out to be our "local" when we stayed in Newquay. It is a little off the beaten track but proved to be a very friendly pub with a good choice of food and drink. What made it special was the friendliness of the staff.
Excellent food and service, good price for menu, lots of choice, car park at the rear, and very clean.
What you'd expect for pub food - quite a bit better than other pubs I've eaten in in Newquay though!
Visited with family, wrong meal came out first, the it was over cooked, sent it back only to find the steak I had, had been put on another of our meals and a new steak for one. Staff didn't seem to care, I won't be visiting again.
Great food. Great staff. However, like most Newquay pubs, its let down by it's locals/tourists pricing split.

The Staff are first rate, food is Excellent, and with three Cask Ales to choose from I was in my Oils,in fact the next time I'm in...

On arrival the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Full restaurant - would definitely recommend booking - especially Sunday. Carvery was lovely, had choice of 3 meat and help yourself to veg, gravy etc. Will definitely be recommending to others :)

Coke came...

Good quality and good portion sizes and reasonable prices. Quiz night is good as well with a great 'quizzer' (don't know what they are called) and good...
