It's hard to find a cute little cafe that has character and charm as well as great food. Hilary's cheese has it all. We walked in to an amazing smell of fresh homemade soup simmering on the stove top, and a roaring wood burning stove. The perfect spot for a relaxed lunch on a crisp February afternoon. We enjoyed a...

Hilary's is a wonderful spot. For a homemade soup with heavenly bread and cheeses of your choice...warm up on a cold foggy day and watch the marina life and docks. The gulls and the ocean are there to enliven your mealtime! watch gulls shelling clams...eagles trying to catch pigeons off the rooftops...you name it. It's like a VERY large tv...

In the back is a cafe where you can have sandwiches made-to-order and delicious soups. Don't miss...

The sandwiches we had were Turkey and Havarti cheese. The baguette was fresh, the cucumber...

We found the staff friendly, efficient and helpful with suggestions. You can eat inside or on the pleasant front deck. There are several other restaurants nearby, but this...

Stopped here on our drive from Qualicum to Victoria. Had a super sandwich lunch, freshly made with freshly brewed coffee. We sat inside with a great view out to the ocean. Friendly staff and clean washroomsc
We bought a soft cheese and two port-aged ones and loved them all. They only had a few other cheeses of their own production, the rest that they were selling were brought in.
We needed sandwiches for the boat crew and Hilary's opens at 9 so we could order and pack those on the boat for the crew. Later, I went back and chose some cheeses, dolmades(marinated stuffed grape leaf rolls with rice) and some salami for a light beach lunch for the landlubber! They are so gracious here, supplying a bit of...
