This restaurant has an extensive Cantonese restaurant with authentic dishes cooked to perfection. It also has a good selection of western food and northern delicacies. Basically, it has something for everyone.

Everyone goes here, lots of locals eating out - there is not a lot of choice but it is real food made by real people. RIckety tables, chairs and floor. Chinese selections are North American versions. Try War Won Ton (large - serves two).
Prime Rib is very good and the steaks were great. the restaurant can get very busy, so make reservations and get there early. The prices are "Northern", so be prepared for a healthy tab at the end of the meal.
I wanted something less mainstream so I went to the Navigator Restaurant. I am thinking it is the only Chinese restaurant in town? Was happy to see that the server was Asian which adds to the authencity of the cuisine. Ordered the Singapore Style Noodles. It cost $26 (including tax). I love the Nav, but it's starting to show it's age. The staff are great, and the food is inexpensive and greasy, which, if you're going to the Nav, is what you want. The Wonton BBQ Pork soup is great. They have a good Chinese buffet. I work right accross the street and eat there all the time. they have good diner food too. they also have a nice greasy standard breakfast.
Decent breakfast, expensive, but everything in the area is. Quick service. Friendly workers. Restaurant has an interesting slope like the rest of the hotel.
While on a recent trip we found this to be a good place for breakfast and lunch. Prices are reasonable for a northern town. The building, however, is a bit intimidating as it is literally sinking and coming off its supports. The floor is uneven in many places. As mentioned by others the furniture is worn but this is not...

This place needs to be condemned. I don't know how public health lets that place stay open. All the floors are not level at all. Tables are always rockin. The bathroom smells like a dead seal is in there.
Ate here one night, food was OK without being exceptional, but you don't go to Iqaluit for a gastronomic break.
