We'd enjoyed this café previously when passing through Ladysmith, but apparently it's now under new ownership. This time we experienced apathetic service and mediocre food, so we'll give it a miss from now on.

Had lunch at the Beanery today.... The shrimp sandwich was soooo good! The soup was tasty and obviously homemade! A rare find today!! Felt very welcome, great service!

We've overlooked this place several times, but recently wandered in and loved the small, quaint coffee shop atmosphere. Good, but limited selection of light meals and soups during the day and it apparently transforms into a dinner restaraunt on Friday evenings, specializing in home-cooked style meals like meatloaf. Patio seating in the summer.

Just a great place to meet, have a coffee or a bowl of soup. Sit outside in summer in the glorious sun and it doesn't get much better.
