Had a salmon crêpe, and a salad with salmon. Really tasty, lots of veg, and generous (but not over-the-top) serving size. Chatted with the waitress and chef, both of whom were incredibly friendly. Great world music, colourful artwork, and a cozy, community feel.

They say their specialty is their braised ham, which is good, but even better is their lamb, specially their lamb crêpe. When we travel between Montreal and Halifax, we make Riviere du Loup our half way point just so that we can have dinner and then breakfast in this unpretentious little café. We had a bottle of RH Philips Cabernet-Sauvignon... More

My husband and I stopped in Rivière de Loup on our road trip, and asked a few locals if there was a vegetarian restaurant. No luck. We wandered around downtown and stumbled upon this place. We went in and spoke to be lovely chef and explained our dietary needs (one of us is vegetarian, neither of us eat wheat) and... More

We stopped on our way to Montreal for lunch. This is a great bohemian student stop. The cuisine has a Mediterranean slant. Lots of lamb; done with rice, in a fajita or by itself. It’s all good. Service is fast and friendly. The outdoor seating along the side of the restaurant is a fun place to eat with lots of... More

We had the penne with vegetables and the "crepe pacifique" (lovely sweet/savory crepe with salmon and feta). Both were delicious, and the side salad was also very nice. Definitely recommend it!

I have been visiting Rivière du Loup for a couple of years. I have ate at different restaurants but never knew about l'innocent. I was surprised by the quality of food, so tasty, everything is home made and you can smell the aroma in this place. Cannot beat the price quality ratio,

Although the furniture and paint job may be slightly shabby, the food is as vibrant as the locally produced photography lining the walls. To start the meal I ordered a regular coffee and was so thrilled to be given a cafe americano. Real espresso! Before our main courses came out, the chef sent us complimentary appetizers that consisted of a... More
