This pub has a great menu with lots of variety and very friendly staff. I had the lunch special which was a BLT & thai chicken curry soup and it was really tasty and affordable! Compliments to the chef! Plus it was one of the first warm sunny spring days and we ate on the patio which gets lots of... More

Ate here twice over the weekend. Once for supper and once for breakfast. Nice cosy place, service was very good and food was good on both occasions. Has the shepards pie which was very good. Breakfast we had the french toast which was also very good, 4 variations are available. Kids are alolwed into the pub and it is decorated... More

I have eaten here many times, and I recommend this to anyone for a casual pub spot. The food is always good. I have tried a few things on the menu. The mussels, fish and chips, miner's burger, quinoa salad, french onion soup, veggie curry have all been great. The atmosphere is unpretentious and casual. There are often families dining... More

Had the Friday special mussels in dijon mustard sauce....AWESOME. Entree was their fish and chips which were OK but definitely not the best we have tasted. Drought beer choice limited but OK. Service excellent! Would recommend!

Have had food, but just didn't do it for me and service was not there. Beers in a old style English pub is about it.

We go here often and love the food! Great atmosphere also, the problem is the staff, or lack thereof. We have NEVER had even what we would consider decent service here, they seem to not care one bit!

nicely appointed rooms with a very homey feel. The food in the pub was excellent, especially the quinoa salad. One problem: they said they understood gluten free requirements, but they didn't really.

Spent an evening having a meal here. First impressions were good. I'm an Englishman living in Canada and it has the feeling of a British boozer! In the bar area there are tables and we were lucky to get one of these. I didn't like the feel of the restaurant at the end in comparison to the bar; it lacked... More
