Good food and atmosphere. There are only 6 tables on the balcony so reserve early. The balcony faces the west so you can see the sunset over the west mountains. You can also eat downstairs on the actual pier but I like to away from all those walking up and down the pier. The restaurant has tables inside as well,... More

Stopped by for an early dinner. The restaurant about 25 percent full with mostly locals at the bar which is attached to the main dining area. The music from the stereo was blaring and it was a little hard to have a normal dinner conversation. We were seated at a table viewing the lake. There are tables inside and out.... More

We have lunch at Boathouse on the Pier (previously Bistro on the Pier and before that, Blue Water Bistro) about once a month. Although not as gourmet as was Blue Water Bistro, the prices are lower as well. We have enjoyed every lunch we’ve had there. The setting is difficult to beat. There has been a pier in or near... They have a tiny little bar and restaurant in a beautiful location. We ordered our drinks and sat at the tables outside on the pier, what views! They have an interesting menu and the bartender pours a mean Neopolitan. I believe it is now called Boathouse On The Pier.

Went here for dinner the night we arrived. We were staying at the hotel that it is attached too. The service at first was horrible, but come to find out one of the servers was late to work. After she arrived the service was much better. The food was good and reasonably priced. I would eat here again.

We both ordered shrimp scampi. The shrimp were OK, the sauce not bad but the dish was covered with sun dried tomatoes that did not appear to have been reconstituted - at least there was no way we could either cut or chew them. Service was good, the wine list interesting and well priced and the view is fabulous

Blue Water Bistro, Bistro on the Pier, call it what you want, it is at 3411 Lake Tahoe Boulevard, on the water, where they rent boats and do parasailing trips. The other Pier, where the locals go, not the Ski Run Blvd Pier where the Riva Restaurant is. This little bistro is great, upstairs is a lovely dining room with... More

We grabbed a seat outside on the second floor looking out at the lake and the sunset. My wife and I split the Asian Chicken Salad - very large, very good - only complaint the chicken was a tad dry, the French Onion Soup - perfect!, the Shrimp Cocktail - only 4 large shrimp, but they were excellent, and they...
