the largo jazz-club is now close due to bankruptey. There was real great jazz session there but the cuisine was not at the level of the show.
I loved this restaurant; great food and great atmosphere. Our waiter helped us pick an extraordinary wine that went superbly with our food choicies. It's not the best choice if you are wanting to spend a lot of your time chatting; this is a place to chat only a bit and ENJOY A LOT the music and food. I'd go... More
We visited this restaurant during the Jazz Festival in October. It was fantastic! The place was packed. Very classy and lovely decor! We listened to a tribute to Miles Davis and we were thrilled with the quality of the show and the fine menu offered. They had tables right up on the stage close to the musicians!
We found this place by chance while wandering about downtown Quebec. Our kids, 12 and 14, were tired and hungry so it was a risk taking our uncultured teens to a fancy bistro. We were all immediately taken in by the decor and warm welcoming reception from the wait staff. I attempted my feeble high school French and rather than... More
The food is pretty stale and the service is awful. A waste of time and money. The Largo doesn't live up to its reputation.
This restaurant is a hit and miss for me....we love it when we can get in! Travel to Quebec quite often on business and I always stop by. The problem is it sometimes is too loud and crowded...closed for private funtion or just closed! It does take a while for the food, we have spent 3 hours before eating here...which... More
We made reservations a few weeks in advance. When we got there, they didn't ask if we had a reservation and put us at the worst table ever. We wanted to have some great food and watch the show, but from where we were sitting, we couldn't see the musicians and the acoustic was not so good. The owner came... More
We had dinner at Largo on November 12, 2011. The owner welcomed us and the jazz was wonderful. I ordered from the Table dèHote and had a delcious salmon tartar and the best scallops I have ever tasted (with shrimp over barley.) However, my husband (who is a hunter and prepares a game dinner each year.) struggled through a few... More
Service was ridiculously slow. Food was overpriced as it was not very good at all. The meat was so chewy and hard to swallow my daughter literally started gaging. I was very grumpy after spending that kind of money on a bad experience and meal.
