Bistro du Cap is off the beaten path in the Vieux-Port but well worth the search. We had the seafood chowder which looked small when it arrived but turned out to be quite sufficient and tasty. The dessert profiteroles were not only delicious but were beautifully presented. This intimate bistro probably will only room for 10-12 people so be sure...

This is a small place located in the lower part of the old city among the galleries and shops. Food is excellent and the service is friendly and attentive. It's a bit off the higher traffic area but only takes a few minutes to walk there from nearby hotels and the relaxed pace around it is very pleasant.
Their best asset is the location.
Food was ok. I ordered the bison stew with tagliatelle. Much too salty and overcooked meat. My partner order the beef tenderloin (mashed potatoes and vegetables) that was very good. The creme brulee was badly burnt so we had to send that back. Approximately 10 person seating, making the place cozy and intimate.

We stumbled upon this restaurant during our stay in Quebec City. The food was delicious! The wine selection was great! We enjoyed venison stew, bison ravioli with mushroom sauce, cottage pie and a great special of sauerkraut and mixed meat (sausage, pork tenderloin and liver dumpling). There weren't many people in the restaurant but it was one of the best...

Fantastic food and great service. The best meal of our visit to Quebec City. The restaurant is small and intimate, not flashy or touristy like others in the same neighborhood.

I stumbled on this place based on reviews from another site and was pleasantly surprised. The service was very good and the food was delicious. I had the lamb shank and it was very well done - the gravy was perfect ! The menu is limited but has excellent choices for main meals and desserts.

We were in Quebec City on a cold, windy, rainy weekend in September 2012 as part of our Celebrity Cruise. We chose this restaurant by chance, and were welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. We counted only 18 seats inside...it was too cold to eat outside. We arrived in the afternoon as they were serving Crepes. The...

if you want a great french bistro, this is it. sitting on the sidewalk and watching all the passers by was another part of dinner that was unexpected, but welcomed. We had no idea where to go and it was highly recommended.
