Description: Since its very first review in 1981, when Joanne Kates of The Globe & Mail raved both about the food and the unstinting attention to detail, Scaramouche has gone from strength to strength for over twenty years - no small feat in a world obsessed with trends and novelty. The food reflects chef Keith Froggett’s belief that less is more; that the finest ingredients classically combined result in a purity that transcends fads and fusion. The service is unobtrusive and faultless yet furnished simply, without pretense. The restaurant’s longevity is a testimonial to the pursuit of quality and the gracious welcome one receives at Scaramouche. Twice voted “Toronto’s Top Restaurant” by Gourmet magazine, Scaramouche remains the pre-eminent destination for fine food and excellent wines, the place to be as the sun sets and the lights of the city’s skyline begin to twinkle through the restaurant’s windows. Our goal is to ensure the most gracious of welcomes and quality throughout your visit.

We attended a Vintages wine/dinner event at Scaramouche Restaurant. I purchased tickets for us, as my husband is a devoted Vintages customer, plus we were celebrating his upcoming retirement at the end of the month. This LCBO event at Scaramouche was highlighting Chateau Latour wine, so we were really looking forward to it, esp. after reading the excellent reviews of... More

We love this restaurant and go to the "Dining Room" section for all our family special celebrations and we are never disappointed. We also go regularly to the "Pasta Bar" section which is a bit less formal and less expensive. The greeting is always warm and professional, the service is without fail "perfect" and the food is fabulous. The decor... More

If you want to go on a weekend, then you'll wait weeks to get a reservation. I reserved through OpenTable for a May dinner back in March. My husband and I loved the food. He ordered the whitefish that the waiter recommended and I chose halibut from the menu. Just delicious! Good wine selection too. For dessert, coconut cream pie... More

This is the best!!! it has been the best for years. Valet parking, great space, impeccable service; fabulous beautifully prepared food, and intoxicating desserts-the coconut cream pie is essential. Not for dieters. Book well in advance for the pasta bar and try to get a table overlooking the city for a fabulous skyline view. Not for budget minded foodies.

First time going here was for my fiance's birthday. Kinda weird spot as it is in the lower level of a condo. But don't let that throw you off, it is probably one of the best french restaurants in Toronto. Starts off with free valet parking. Great start! On a clear day you can even get a decent view of... Scaramouche has been deservedly recognised as one of Toronto's top restaurants for over thirty years. Even its mid-town location is a destination; hidden away within a discreet apartment building that itself is now being converted into a condominium. Valet parking is standard. For us, dinner at Scaramouche is a special treat, and we particularly enjoy the slightly less expensive Pasta... More

This was my third visit to Scaramouche. It is a fine french restaurant with a specular wine list tucked away in a residential area of Toronto. It's situated on a hilltop, with dramatic nighttime views of the downtown core. There's complimentary valet parking. The food is delicious. I have never had a dish I didn't love. On this visit our... Decor is very dated done in the 80's very stuffy. Good location in good weather. Food is average at best. Forget it. Too expensive. Good wine list though.
