Food was great, actually better than in Cuba. Good flavours and interesting choice on menu, Lots of service enthusiasm here. The décor is good and ambience fine, Book.
My wife and I have frequented this Restaurant a few times already. It seats approx 20 people. 7 or 8 tables. The walls are adorned with old framed photos of the chef's homeland. We have been to Cuba many times and have eaten locally. This is Cuban food at it's best, Authentic.flavourful and plentiful. Great Service, Wonderful food and ambiance.It... More
Very elaborated Cuban home recipes. This small restaurant gives on every dish a wink of Cuban "Alta cocina". The atmosphere (music, decoration) is 100% post 1959 Cuban. I guess most people don't notice that they exhibit a ration card. You can Google what it means for the Cuban people. The staff both Canadians and Cubans are very friendly and totally... More
Went on a very quiet Tues. Had a good authentic cuban meal... reasonably priced (portions could of been a it bigger particularly the sides) I wouldn't make a special trip but next time we are going to the Mayfair we try it again
First visit, have been meaning to go awhile. There's a cool vibe the minute you walk in. Music, decor, very friendly staff. It was full, but service was excellent. My vegan wife had no problem finding a few delicious options on the menu. Nice beer, wine cocktail selection or try the fruit juice lemonade. I had the traditional ropa vieja,... More
We weren't sure what to expect from this small restaurant in our neighbourhood. It was great! Fresh food, several salad options to which you could add to if you wanted. Air conditioning wasn't working the day we came so a little hot but pleasant by the door. Friendly service. Seemed to be popular with friends out for a meal, small... More
For the folks who travel to Cuba that are disapointed by the All-Inclusive hotels' offering of watered-down bland "Canadian-american" style food - this is the place that will open your eyes to the real food of Cuba (the folks who have gone off resort know about it). This quaint, little place heavy with atmosphere "a la Habana" really hits the... More
last night's dinner was an evening catching up with a friend, so at first, we didn't notice the service that got slower through the night. After waiting over 45 minutes from when the dinner plate was removed before the server came back, we were afraid we would be reordering from the breakfast menu. No offer of a dessert menu came,... Such a lovely little place. Pop in on a warm evening and you'll think you're in Havanna. The portions are generous and so tastey. Loved it all!
