Very rarely would I ever visit a vegetarian restaurant but had heard good things about this spot and it was convenient to our B&B off of Quinpool. Good service and pretty decent food!

This little restaurant recently changed owners, and I like what they've done with the new renovations. I was a little disappointed that the taco salad is smaller than it used to be, but it was just as tasty and all the menu options are delicious and nutritious. Heartwood also has a daily special and soup, which always gives the opportunity... More

I try and eat at Heartwood as often as I can. Their food is absolutely exceptional. Fresh, flavorful, and lots on the menu to choose from. Even if you are not a vegetarian or vegan, you will enjoy a meal from here. I would highly recommed this place for lunch or a casual dinner.

Really great tofu pizza, nice fresh tomato soup, and delicious bread. Cookies are nice and gluten free too. Then go upstairs to the Bhavana Boutique for some lovely yoga and casual clothes and accessories. You can also get treatments there now. A great place

This was my first time at this restaurant, and being a die hard carnivore, I was a little nervous. It has about six tables, 4 booths, and seating at a counter by a window. It is a small spot, but looks larger due to mirrors on the walls. My friend started with an appetizer of a bowl of thai peanut... More

We ate here in July 2012. The menu is few of awesome choices (veggie/vegan/gluten-free), which all looked delicious. I ended up ordering the guacamole/hummus platter and the wild salad. My husband had a bean melt. The salad an bean melt were delicious. The dips never arrived. We waited for maybe 25 minutes to order and then actually had to flat... More

This is an all vegetarian restaurant serving fresh, local and presumably organic meals. Personally, I do not recommend their veggie burger because it was black bean mush on a flavourless bun. The brown rice & veggies with curry or peanut sauce is probably a better choice. Service was very slow because the place was full and there was only one... More

WOW! Our first time at Heartwood and we can't wait to go back. When you go, please get the delicous Tofu scramble. It is so amazing and filling. There were three of us (one strict vegan) and we were beyond impressed. Other dishes at the table were a soup (can't remember which) and the very generous bean burrito. Wish we... More

I have no complaints. I loved it. Good service, good atmosphere and excellent food. I ordered a 1/2 sandwich & 1/2 salad and my Mom ordered the soup of the day. We both loved it. The bread was delicious! We shared a dessert and as per the recommendation from the waiter, we got the CocoBanana Pie. It was amazing. The... More
