My husband and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this beautiful bar. It is located in a gorgeous building in the uptown area. I was told it was once City hall. Lovely place... Food pretty good. A little pricey. Would definitely return, though.

It was actually better than expected as, in my opinion, Saint John "pub" flare tends to be hit and miss, with more pubs being simple and sad watering holes rather then a good bar accompanied by a good kitchen. I wanted to try Britts again since my last visit, given that experience and recommendations of locals I met. No disappointment! Friendly and capable service and above average food. Lovely!

I was a bit skeptical of trying a new place after some recent fiascos but I was wonderfully surprised. I loved the fishcakes and I don't eat fish.
