This was the best meal of the trip for us. Prix-fixe menu, many choices within each course. Everything was prepared with attention to detail, and thoughtful. Waitstaff explained sourcing of all local ingredients. We just loved our meal there.

We had heard good things about this place but it exceeded all expectations, seriously. We were lucky enough to be there during dine out so the value was amazing. Eric, one of the owners, was incredibly helpful and every course was fresh, innovative, locally sourced and fab in every way. We had a bottle of wine from Tuscany that blew... More

We chose this restaurant after reading the TA reviews and were not dissapointed. The menu is small with mostly locally sourced ingredients. My wife who is not a lover of oysters said that the oysters here were some of the best she'd ever eaten. The service was impeccable, even though we were complete strangers we were made to feel like... More

Alta Bistro is in Whistler Village and provides a "Set" menu style of dining experience although there are 3-4 choices for each course. It's well organised and the food is outstanding. The staff were excellent and contributed to the enjoyment of the evening. Although not the cheapest place to eat in Whistler, I believe the experience and the quality of... More

This restaurant came highly recommended and we really wanted to try it but unfortunately, the timing of our reservation did not work for us. I called 45 minutes before the reservation and they yelled at me, got mad that I was calling 45 minutes before our 6PM reservation and wanted me to apologize. I was stunned! If they needed me... What you have written is not accurate. You spoke to one of our owners on the phone who did not yell at you or get mad. In the future all restaurants would appreciate more than 45 minutes notice when cancelling a reservation. An apology and some understanding would also go a long way. More

The food was good but I feel they are reaching for something else and are not quite there. I tasted the Ahi which was very average but too salty. The beef stew had a great taste but also salty and I like salty food. They are a cute local restaurant and It is nice that they give great service to... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. If you have any feedback on the seasoning then telling us on the night always allows us to improve the dishes immediately, and find a solution. We aim to give the same service to every customer. As we are unable to tell between "locals" and "tourists" we would find it... More

We decided to eat at the Alta Bistro after seeing the reviews on Trip Advisor and were lucky to secure a table at short notice. We arrived a little earlier to sample the cocktails/aperitifs, which proved a great start to our evening. We were seated at a very private table and liked the menu concept, each choosing three courses (we... More

I loved that Alta Bistro gives you a variety of interesting food to choose from. Some of the food is more out of the box and that is exactly what I loved most about this place!

The set menu had a good variety for all of us and each course was just delicious. The waiter recommended a wine for each dish (not many of us so multiple bottles would have been too much). The place was relaxed and the service excellent, just what you want after a days skiing. i will definitely go back on my... More

We tried Alta Bistro about two months ago last time in Whistler, and it was the best meal we had. We just had to try it again this time around. Same result. This is a small little spot, and not much to look at, but they are so passionate about good food, most guests leave very happy. We certainly did.... More
