This has always been a favourite spot. Great food and true tapas. The bar is great as well as sitting at the open kitchen bar to watch the action as your dishes are being prepared. Best mojitos!

My husband had been to Spain in February so he wanted to try this tapas bar to see if it compared to what he'd eaten in Spain. He said the tapas weren't bad, although not quite what he had in Spain. I'm not a fan of fish with their heads still on (the sardines came that way). The location (Trounce... More

I have heard so many great things about this place, but unfortunately it did not deliver at all. I can only complain about the food, because the service is good. But I believe that good food can make up for bad service, but there's no coming back from terrible food. I am thoroughly disappointed, I had such high expectations for... More

This is a lovely tapas bar in trounce alley. Nice location. The ceviche was delicious and properly spiced. The cold artichoke salad was tender and tasty. The carrot in sweet mustard sauce was a disappointment in that the mustard flavour was lost in the sweetness. This is a nice and reasonably priced place for dinner.

The white wine sanghria is heavenly! We had 2 pitchers with our shared tapa dishes. Each of the 4 of us ordered a different tapa (small, shareable appetizer), then split them up. Easy access to the shopping district. Guys, let the girls go shopping and you can spend your time here with the great beer selection as well. (That's what... More

We have been in 3 times, and will certainly be back again. Who doesn't enjoy sharing lots of flavours in small plate format. A bottle of wine, from a reasonably priced list and 3 or 4 plates and you have a very nice experience. Healthy options are easy to find and the service is very good. Always seems busy, a... More

Located in a cute part of downtown Victoria, the Tapa Bar is a great night out. Good wine, great food and great service. We'll be back. Get the stuffed dates but I hear you should avoid the vegetarian options. My favourite, the spicy wings.

The amount of food for the price sucked, was in a cramped place and was bumped at least a dozen times while there. Took way to long to be served, and was a uncomfortable place (physically).
