My family and I used to be very regular customers years ago, but the place started getting a bit run down so we stopped going. They are closed now for rennovations so we will definately try them again when they re-open as the food was always good.

We always go back there after trying other places and finding them too expensive or no really very tasty. Mr Jake's is the best for a basic great meal. We...

As the title states old run down diner feel, but no better place to get a perfect steak.Normally i hate potato salad, but theirs is to die for!! Def perfect place to take the family for a great steak!!!
Excellent food with great service. Owners are serving you, really care about the customer. Highly recommended.

Don't expect some fine dining or extreme class but expect fast quality food at a reasonable price with a quirky style of service. Prob start going here more often now that I discovered it.

Got the "#3" which is their most popular steak dish (9 oz. steak w/potato, garlic bread, and salad.) Cost was $15.99. When I rec'd the steak, there was fat on three sides and once I trimmed that off, I was left w/about 6 or 7 oz of steak. It was tough and not seasoned (much? at all?) which was disappointing...
