We tasted the available whites and reds. The Pinot Gris was lovely as was the Gewurtztraminer. We also enjoyed the Pinot Noir. The vineyards overlook Naramata beach taking advantage of the lake breezes. Sadly, We were a few days early for the 2013 Muscat Ottonel. The staff were friendly and informative.

We were visting our married son in B.C. and were eager to be shown around the Okanagan area, where they were staying for the summer. The day after we arrived we went on a few wine tours and we made dinner reservations at the Hillside Estate Winery on my son's recommendation. Our meals were excellently paired with the Estate wines.... More

The wines are great but we decided to have dinner in the Bistro and were given a second floor table with a beautiful view. Excellent service and food! One of the first wineries on the Bench and definitely worth a visit for a tasting, lunch or dinner!

Great menu and nice outdoor patio. The wines are first rank also. My experience here in September vaulted this into one of my top choices for dinner on the Naramata Bench.

My friend and I visited Hillside Estate Bistro for lunch on a trip to the Okanagan to visit wineries. The Bistro was recommended for lunch, so we made our way from Osoyoos to Penticton for a bite. We weren't disappointed in the food at least. I wasn't very impressed with the Pinot Gris or Merlot that we had, but the... More

This was a superb choice for a light lunch...except the portions were huge. The daily soup special was excellent, but followed by the chicken sandwich made it a large meal. The environment was relaxed and there was no wait for a table. It was a nice relaxing spot to enjoy our wine and lunch. One day we will return to... More

We enjoyed dinner at the bistro on the first day of their "october fest" promotion. We didn't go for the "special plate" featuring ham, bratwurst, etc. too much sodium for us. Instead we chose from their regular menu and found the food to be excellent and very reasonable priced.

We were just passing through for a coffee and maybe a cake. No espresso in a place like this? Unbelievable. So we took a risk on a drip. Mistake. After a 15 minute wait, one and one quarter cups arrived with a promise that the shortfall would appear in 5 minutes or so, as soon a fresh batch was made.... More

Everything we ate at this restaurant was great! The duck sandwich, pork cheeks and soup had a wonderful combinations of flavors. Those delicious items combined with great wine and an unbeatable sunset and it makes for one stunning evening.

The owner's of the BB we stayed at recommended the bistro and made sure we had a reservations. We were there for the Ironman event in August and had heard from others about the winery. Spectacular view of the lake from the upstairs patio at sunset. In L.A., a restaurant like this would be noisy and crowded, not the case... More
