Delicious food, we like a menu that you have trouble choosing what you want! The old wooden building and dim lighting while it's snowing outside really creates an atmosphere. The service was lacking from no acknowledgment on arrival, no understanding of the menu to a very uninterested attitude, this is unfortunate.

Visited on a Wednesday evening in April and the place was empty. The service was, as one might expect, perfect. We tried the butternut squash soup and the elk meatballs to start. Both excellent. The seasoning in the soup was amazing. My wife had the scallops as her entree, while I had the angus rib eye. Coffee and berry buckle... More

We ate at Deer Lodge for 4 of the 5 nights that we were in Lake Louise. I wish I was eating there tonight... Highly recommend the Charcuterie Platter, delicious.

After a day of ski at The Lake, we looked forward to a delicious dinner. It was lovely to be staying at Deer Lodge and just walk down from our room and be seated at a lovely spot for two by the window. The snow was falling outside..it was very romantic. We started with a daily soup and the scallops.... More

In looking for a decent place to eat for the three of us (for under $150) we found this restaurant in the Deer lodge. It was fully reserved Saturday night, but they sat us in the lounge - it had the same atmosphere. Aside from trying to get a bottle of wine We liked (they were out of my first... More

Right near the Fairmont on Zlake Louuse, Deer Lodge is like a little hideaway off the beaten track and great for a stay in the mountains. Not full of frills and luxury rooms, but the food is well worth a visit if nothing else.

I don't have a bad word to say about the place. There was six of us that had dinner and all of us were of the same opinion. The Menu was very good. Top ratings from the starters was the charcuterie and scallops, and my friend raved about the duck. Its a nice setting and has a relaxed feel, although... More

I ate at this restaurant once for lunch and twice for dinner. For lunch I had a plate of salami, pate and cheese and other meats that were great. For dinner 1 night I had caribou, another night had elk steak and elk ribs, marvelous.

We had the seared duck breasts with bacon rissoto. It was very tasty and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was quiet and upscale. The only thing that bothered us was the amount of children and pre-teens running around after dinner. Apparently they were the owners children, but they were very unbehaved for the type of dining room this was.

We enjoyed the dinner we had at Deer Lodge. One would never expect the menu. Expensive as most restaurants are in Lake Louise.
