Traffic and parking at 2:30 pm (high lunch time) is a pain but the valet parking helped. The food and service were very good. The ambiance leaves something to be desired. Muelle 8 is a wonderful local restaurant filled with Merida's foodies. Like nearby La Pigua, the freshest seafood is brought in each day from the coast. Unlike La Pigua, this restaurant is filled with locals (not tour buses) and the room has great charm. Eat with the locals at Muelle 8 and you will go back for more!

We were excited to try this restaruant for our first time. We arrived and were immediately warm due to inadequate air conditioning.
