Ranked #11 of 225 restaurants in Cozumel
Cuisines: American, Mexican
Dining options: Breakfast/Brunch, After-hours
Description: The Thirsty Cougar is right on the waterfront in beautiful downtown Cozumel Mexico. This is the second venture from the creators of Wet Wendy's Margarita House, only we kept everyone's favorite creations and added an unbeatable view and smaller format. If you're down for a week or just a day, you can't beat our kitchen or bar to deliver just what you need! We hope to see you soon, Jazmine, Niko, Leka, Carlos, Klara and Chad.

The Thirsty Cougar is not to be missed. The staff is the best on the island: Leka (no one makes a better frozen drink with a great sense of humor!), Niko (outgoing and so kind), Hector (very friendly and attentive)... and so many others. They are professional, efficient, friendly and there to make your visit the ultimate experience. We always... More

We stopped at the Thirsty Cougar for an evening meal on the recommendation of some diners. Peter, our waiter, was attentive and lots of fun. Our friends enjoyed a fun frozen drink and our food was plentiful and very tasty. At the end of the meal Peter brought each of us some "Mexican water". Be sure you get yours! The... More

Had another awesome experience at the Cougar. Nikko took good care of me and Lorie. Had a birthday lunch and some margaritas. Nothing else to say. Can't wait to go back in Sept.

After flying into Cozumel and getting settled in our room, we headed towards the square and was grabbed by NIKO. took a quick look at the menu and we could not resist the options on it. We order margaritas and our food, once we received our drinks we were hooked!!!! There is NO other restaurant on the island that serves... More

A nice corner location that we happened upon after snorkeling literally across from our hotel, Casa Mexicana where the old pier used to be before hurricane Wilma. We had nachos, superb and the best margaritas ever! It was a great place that overlooks the ocean (street between Thirsty Cougar and water) to people watch and while away a lazy afternoon.... More

The Thirsty Cougar was on my list of places to stop for a drink while in Cozumel the weekend of May 10th. As we were killing time before our massage at del sol, I was happy to see it right on the Main Street with a gorgeous ocean view. We lucked out to be served by Niko. He is the... More

My two daughters and I happened upon this restaurant while we spent the day in Cozumel during our port day cruising on Royal Carribean's Jewel of the Seas. It was exactly what we were looking for.....something with a local feel unlike the typical "Margaritaville" etc...Not that those restaurants are bad. Niko, our waiter, flagged us down as we walked by... More

Great attitudes, cold beers, and delicious food... all with an awesome view! The bartender was super fun and had us taking shots - even the 1 girl in our group that never does tequila shots got in on the fun!

This was a GREAT stop! We like our margaritas on the rocks. These were awesome and not too sweet. The nachos were excellent too. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Cozumel!

First trip over to Cozumel, wasn't sure where to stop to get a few drinks and affordable food.. Got flagged down by "Nico" while walking by actually thinking the restaurant wasn't for us. Really glad we stopped now! Nico gave us 2 for $3.00 Dos Equis, great Guacamole and Pico, 10% off the entire bill, and one of the best... More
