Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My fiancee and I decided to take out my side of the family to break the news of our engagement. This was our first time and we were pleased to be provided with a single seating to accommodate all of our invitees. The staff was...very attentive and offered good service. We were surprised at the extensive menu options and all items ordered were enjoyed. The ambiance is really inviting and relaxing and contributed significantly to the occasion. Looking forward to a repeat!More

I am not a huge pizza lover however, this was so good. I have had pizza in Rome and Milan and this could easily compete. Really nice thin crust and topping loaded. I can’t wait to go back. Salmon pizza was ok. Bacon and mushroom...was great and so was the Quattro Carne. Cocktails were also very good. Servers were very attentive.More

Good service from the staff. The selection of pizza and choices are great. It is baked in a big oven and the taste is great. The bear is kind of flat on the tap and would recommend a bottle

In fairness to the restaurant, I've only been there twice this year and both times in a group of 8 in early evening (6pm-730pm). The pizzas this week were ok and we had three different sets of toppings, but the appetizers - garlic shrimps and...calamari with a dip - were bland and over cooked, in a way that the dips and toppings couldn't mask or improve. Service was prompt; he got our orders right and was unobtrusive otherwise. A bit of help choosing items might have steered us to a more sumptious selection, but that didn't happen. The ambiance is cool for a quiet bite and it's quiet in a way that's not common in POS eateries. The food though, nothing to write home aboutMore

I love their topping combinations. They do special toppings on request too. They cater to vegetarians.

My family and I stopped in to La Cantina C3 since we had to wait an hour for our movie. The hostess, Sophia, was extremely pleasant from the start. I advised her we had a movie in an hour and Sophia made sure we were...served in time to make our movie. She checked in with us when the pizza was making assuring us we won’t be late for our movie. She was very kind. Top class customer service. And ofcourse the pizza was delicious!!More

I considered a few options within Port of Spain for a milestone birthday dinner and La Cantina came highly recommended. From my initial inquiry to my last email of gratitude, communication was superb! Joni answered all my questions with patience and grace, returned my calls...quickly, invited me to do a site visit and provided the level of service that was amazing (and quite frankly that I may have grown accustomed to not receiving from other restaurant establishments). Each time my headcount changed, she sent a revised quote promptly; and as we discussed and agreed changes to the menu, she emailed me with updates each time. She was fantastic at making suggestions based on some of my guests’ dietary requirements and the chef was happy to work with me on this and other special requests. I loved that there were no restrictions to bringing my own cake and without coercion to order one of their desserts instead. The private room was a lovely space. Closed to the main dining room, it was ideal for our group of 13 persons and a buffet setup. It would quite easily do for a group of 20 – 25 persons leaving enough space for mingling. The staff were amazing on the night. Joni made sure to be there for my dinner. Again, much appreciation for this, as so many restaurants have someone working behind the scenes dealing with clients but are notably absent for the actual event. Nero, the supervisor was attentive and helpful throughout. And Adayah was wonderful as our server, taking and filling drink orders with efficiency and aplomb. I highly recommend La Cantina Pizzeria. Just don’t let their name fool you – they don’t only sell pizzas. There are tons of other things too including all manner of appetisers, seafood & meat mains, salads, wraps, burgers & sandwiches, pastas, combo platters, desserts and even a kids’ menu. I’m looking forward to having lunch here soon and would definitely love to host another event here in the future!More

It's very few times that an establishment blows me away with their customer service. I hosted a bridal shower in their private room for my friend and from the point I made the reservations over the phone to the day itself, their service was impeccable....Niro was willing to answer all my many questions leading up to the event and on the day, although we only had one server, all the staff were so willing to assist with anything we needed. The food came out in no time and all my guests enjoyed the food and the service. Keep up the great work.More

Just south of Queens Park Savannah and set in a colonial period building, this airy restaurant serves as well as an extensive selection of pizzas (and a fair array of other dishes) a lunch sandwich and sides menu that is one of the best in...town.More

My husband and I had the displeasure of visiting this “establishment”, there was hardly anyone there (our experience tells us why the place was so empty on the first Friday of the month) we were famished as we both had long days. It was after...8, we started of with mash potatoes and a single pizza. The gentleman brought the pizza 20 minutes later with no mushrooms, he said they would bring the mushrooms separately...another 15 minutes later he comes running with a plate of greasy unsalted mushrooms...apparently after we ate half the pizza we were expected to dress it ourselves. We would have gladly bought another pizza as well as we know mistakes happen but we were bluntly told they can’t do over the pizza, they will bring the missing ingredient. Were were amused after a long day and much too tired to argue or get a manager. My husband requested ketchup, we before we ordered, we were told in a very impolite manner they don’t serve ketchup, we were not even offered marinara sauce to eat with the cardboard textured pizza. The service is almost always rude at this place but the pizza was formerly good. We paid the bill -tip free...never to returnMore

We called there while we were two minutes away as the restaurant we first went to was very crowded and the wait was going to be long. The hostess was gracious and told us we were more than welcome to walk in. Quick friendly service...and the food was delicious. Nice ambiance and reasonably priced. Definitely planning to return to try another item on the menu.More

Been here before and the food was much better. Seems as though the pizzas are the only good thing on the menu here. had the fettuccine pollo and it was as bland as chalk. The only semi flavoured part of the dish was the parmesan...chicken. Overall it was lacking. The drinks tasted very much like the bottled puree with just about one drop of alcohol. Having been here once before it was a bit disappointing to experience this. Food also took too long to reach the table for our group of 5. Server brought food out for 3 in our party about 15 minutes before the other two got their food. Would not be too enthused to return.More

I visited La Cantina on Thursday June 14, 2018 for the third time. My first visit was when the Pizzeria had just opened and I ordered pizzas but it was a take out order. The pizzas were quite delicious but I never really felt the...urge to return and probably because I was not aware of the other items on the menu. However I attended the wedding of a very Close friend at this establishment and was totally impressed by the variety of dishes, the sumptuous taste of the food and especially the first class quality service rendered by management and employees. Since my sister and husband were visiting from New York I thought it would be a good idea to try La Cantina and see what the options were for dinner, aside from the pizza. We ordered the platter with the wings, fries, calamari and crab cakes for our appetizers and everything was delicious. Two of us ordered the BBQ burgers while my sister ordered the fish sandwich and her husband had the ribs. The general agreement was that the entrees were all delicious. The coziness of this restaurant is refreshing and the fact that the bar is on the other end, more or less, out of sight of diners is definitely a plus. The service was spot on and Dale was particularly attentive and accommodating. I therefore will recommend La Cantina Pizzeria and I do hope to visit again soon.More
