If you're really hungry and need something to eat he's there till lunch time most days. $5 dollar items.
At the office we have all purchased here from time to time. Really can't understand what the fuss is. We all agree that it rank really low. Not tasty and it looks too white. Not like what Doubles should tasty like. They have to cover...it in sauce or pepper for you but the doubles itself needs to be upgraded.More
Doubles were tasty. Sauces hot, but tasty. Long line for fresh and quick treats. I had to go back for seconds. There is something about the channa. It was crisp and dried. Barra nicely brown. Pepper sauce should be asked for with caution. It's Hhhhhhhhoooooootttt....But so good.More
Early morning after me walk ah stop by de doubles stand. It was like somebody glue me there. I ate doubles and aloo pie, and then I ate doubles and aloo pie and again. You know what ah mean. You must try the sauces. Tamrind...sauce and mango sauce, they are scrumptious. Delicious for so. Sooo good ah had to take some home. Of course ah went to walk the next morning so I could so ah could eat again.More
I don't agree with the negative reviews. This may not necessarily be THE best doubles stand in Trinidad, but it certainly is right up there. We were in PoS for 6 days, had doubles from many different stands. George is really yummy (fwiw, I grew...up in India, so I have had chana curry all my life). We had it for breakfast every morning. Fast, cheap, and delicious.More
It is about time we remove this entity form tripadvisor, there are so many better options i this category.
Doubles is a local delicacy that is sold through out my country It is made of two small bara(fried flour ) with channa and different local sauces Geroge is on Carlos street in Woodbrook in the city of port-of-spain He is one of the most...popular doubles vendor in the country His boubles is very tastyMore
One of the many doubles stands that have a lot of hype but offers just average doubles. These doubles are relatively bland and watery no real flavour unless you add the condiments, but they are open when many other doubles vendors may not be around.
Dont go here. Ever since the son took over the quality and taste are gone. I eaten here in the past and it was good. Now there is no taste.. The curry is week and just his overall attitude. There is no love. I love...doubles and this guy ruined my day with the lack of taste he offered in his doubles!More
There's a street stand in town that makes the most amazing doubles- his sauces are tremendous. George's are good, just not with the pizazz of the street vendor (who's name I don't know).
I used to eat George and George's Ex almost everyday at one point in my life. Living in Diego Martin meant it was a pretty easy drive. But as I grew older I realised that these doubles weren't as good as I thought they were....In fact, they were just..... bland. I now make a long drive to Arima for my doubles. To Rufina's who, IMO, has the best doubles in Trinidad. Sauce(the one by the maxi stand with a great mango chutney) and the Sauce(under the shed) are also pretty good, both in curepe.More
The doubles here are a must-do for any visitor to T&T. Standing on the pavement (sidewalk) and eating a piping hot doubles (yes - a doubles) in the morning is the typical Trini breakfast-on-the-go.
have been eating from George since primary school and every sunday i still pass and eat a tripples with extra cucumber, slight pepper and ah fresh juice. i hope i can bring my children here one day also
This seems to be the vendor that is mostly recommended for doubles but to be honest they were not as tasty as others i have had and the queue was quite long
