Description: Situated on the edge of the Rainforest Bananas is casual fun dining in a magical setting. We take our food very seriously but it is good home cooking prepared by hard working local ladies, not fancy or Gourmet.. However our menu is very creative and we use only fresh ingredients and where possible free range organic produce and meats. We have Magnificent Sunset views from our Firefly lounge and a superb selection of cocktails and old rums and a small selection of cuban Cigars.

We loved every bit of our dinner here. We arrived early and watched the sunset from their rooftop deck. For our appetizer, we ordered a platter featuring a sample of Nevisian cuisine and ate every bit of it. The goat water was fantastic. We ordered lobster for our mains and it was the best we had during our entire trip.... More

My wife and I had dinner here last night and it was truly amazing. Be patient on the drive as you seem to be headed to the middle of nowhere however, nothing is too far on the island of Nevis. We pulled into the parking lot and someone was there to meet us and walk us to the front where... More

Take a cab ride up the mountain to what feels like "the middle of nowhere." We decided to take a chance and eat outside our resort one evening. We were pleasantly surprised at this find. A beautiful view of the sunset, delicious and fresh food, and very friendly staff. Bananas was a charming, fun, and memorable destination!

Our family of 4 recently visited Nevis and were told by local residents to make sure to visit Bananas. The garden is lovely in the evening with soft white lights and a lovely little art gallery. We were greeted by a sweet little puppy, named Jodie, who entertained my kids (and the other kids as well). The food was amazing... More

Really nice atmosphere but the food and service was just ok. Long cab ride (expensive) to get to Bananas. We ate on the porch which was very nice. The table was ready but the food was very slow in coming out. It was good, but certainly not memorable.

I am really sorry that you did not have a memorable evening...especially as far as the service is concerned as that is what we pride our selves on...so we definately slipped up there...and i apologise for that. As far as the food is concerned..we advertise ourselves as serving honest home cooking prepared by local ladies in our kitchen . It... More

It's worth the taxi ride up the mountain. The setting in their gardens is gorgeous, a cute little house kind of arrangement with wrap around veranda and roof top deck with views that go for miles. The food is great and the service is very warm and friendly. Certainly worthy of the shortlist for placed to eat while on Nevis.

Living on Nevis, I have tried them all. Bananas is a favorite and should not be missed if you are a visitor. Gillian the owner, keeps it all together , food, ambiance and charm. Her staff always friendly, efficient and eager to please. The menu has the most creative choices using fresh local items or imported meats that are free... More

Fun location with wonderful food. Certainly deserving of their top-rated status on Nevis. Service was slowed by the presence of a large group. That really was not a problem for us, but the hostess and waiter insisted that our desserts/drinks be "on the house"! Very attentive to us the entire night. Food was nicely presented and very tasty. Definitely worth... More

Our taxi driver, Champ, suggested Bananas when our initial plans fell through. Thank goodness! Ambiance - the restaurant is a bit up in the mountains and mostly open-air. It's comfortable and classy in a weird way. Lots of art on the walls (for sale as well). The host took us up to the rooftop, where they're building a deck. The... More
