We were traveling with a cruise tour group and while in the heart of touristy town just outside the wonderful Denali National Park we asked where do the locals go for a good meal. By the time we got the same answer from 5 different people (a young waitress in an OK restaurant said "When my folks come to visit... More

and i'm a local foodie! amazing meal, I tried everything that my family had, and everything was amazing (except the salmon, it wasn't bad, it's just we get great salmon all the time). If you go to Denali National Park, then you need to eat here. More

An outstanding restaurant by any measure and likely the best in the state of Alaska. I believe the owner/chef is the daughter of the couple who own Camp Denali (their son runs Camp Denali). The restaurant has access to extremely fresh ingredients - especially fish. The wine list is excellent. Service is friendly, and servers appear superbly trained. The restaurant... More

We had a great meal - we were tired having flown in from Hawaii and driven up to Denali Cabins and we decided to walk across to the restaurant and saw our first moose! The food choice suited our limited appetite but also the full meals looked excellent - plenty of space between tables - excellent service and well prepared... More

This is a terrific restaurant- soup to nuts! Hands down, the best meal that we ate in Alaska. Our party of five was thrilled individually with appetizers, salads and desserts- we were familshed after a day of hiking in Denali. Even the rolls are homemade and come with an amazing butter. Service was a bit slow, but we were happy... More

The service, the food, and the simple decor make this the area's five star restaurant.Using locally grown ingredients 229 Park served wonderfully creative meals. I had a grilled halibut steak served on homemaker soba noodles seasoned with sea salt and a light soy sauce glaze. Delicious. Our tour bus driver, a local year round resident recommended the restaurant. More

My husband and I ate here on 8/30 after a visit to Denali Park and Preserve. The food was excellent in terms of taste and presentation. We had the Halibut and Scallop Entrees. We also had fennel soup (yum!) and Alaskan Oysters! We sat at the bar and received wonderful service. A few notes, the restaurant is not open on... More

Ate twice at 229 Parks. Both times was delicious. First trip, shared the crab cakes with a friend - while the portion was smaller than expected the flavor was awesome. The smaller portion prompted me to take smaller, savoring bites and I believe added to my dining experience. It also left room for me to get the Alaskan Scallops platter... More
