Tucked away up stairs, in a historic wood panelled room is a Lyons tea room. The staff are friendly and dressed as "thirties" staff. The food is inexpensive and fine and and it was one of our favourite lunch places for the years we lived in Dorchester

I am a sucker for a traditional looking tea rooms and when I spotted this one where the staff wore the old fashioned black and white uniform I was initially pleased.
Sadly this did not last long. The actual food was of a good standard, between my self and my two guests we had baked potato, Steak and Kidney pie...
