I ate here twice on consecutive nights, and wish I could have gone twice more.... The first night I was with a colleague, and we had an absolutely fantastic (nine course) taster menu, including gnocci with truffles (the local speciality), fresh asparagus, local wines etc... the second night was a formal dinner for twenty - and this too was absolutely... I come to eat at this wonderful restaurant whenever I can - it is one of my favourites in this area. The Amerigo philosophy is that of exploring and taking the best of local ingredients and recreating traditional Emilian cuisine and taking it that one step further to propose dishes that one wouldn't find in a 'traditional cuisine' restaurant in... This was absolutely the best food we had on our trip and amongst the best we've had, period. You must look at Amerigo's website to understand their commitment to excellence and authenticity. The service is professional and cozy...the food is honestly beyond most of what we've ever had. No wonder people come from Bologna, Modena, etc. for dinner! We are... More

Plus. 1)The restaurant atmosphere is really stunning. Time seems to have stopped in here, and everything is traditionally elegant and vintage. 2)food. Here you'll find the traditional bolognese kitchen with a touch of mornization. Everything is carefully served and well prepared. Wine list is good with honest mark up. 3)the menu design and contents are pure art. contra 1)dishes are... More

Should you pass this establishment without knowing, you would never think it houses a Michelin Star. It is by far the most "value for money" starred restaurant we ever encountered. But there's not only the price, what you get is beautifully presented taste, taste en again taste. Okay, the restaurant offers perhaps not very luxurious seating, but it is hand... More

I had the pleasure of staying at this quaint, beautiful hotel. It is not fussy or overstated, rather very cozy and welcoming. Some of Italy's best hotels are ones like the Amerigo, especially for the price. Definitely worth the stay...don't miss out on the Amerigo restaurant either. Michelin rated chef!!

To recover from a tour of Sicily, I wanted at least one night elsewhere at one-star restaurant-hotel. The fates, who had toyed with me for weeks, finally stayed their hand. Virtually picked at random, Amerigo 1934 became the standard again which I now rate all inns and one-star restaurants. My room was remarkable, carefully decorated with extremes of whit and... More
