Went here for breakfast a couple of times. Food was really, really good - especially the salt fish. Unfortunately it is located right on the road which, whilst not particularly busy, was a bit of a shame.

This is an open air coffee shop, in the middle of the village, just off the main road, meaning you get to watch the world go by, including the parrots flying and squarking overhead, and hummingbirds flitting about. No sea view, but you are right next to Cheno's (the owner's) family home and so there's lots going on. You'll find... More

Another great location in Castara with a drumming evening but this time a BBQ theme with very friendly owner. Tables spill out into the road, food is good and the service is excellent. Usually quite full so get there early for a table and a few Sundowners. Also good for breakfasts and watching the locals go about the business.

Loved this place. Went twice to their Saturday night BBQ grill and pan drums evening. Superb entertainment, atmosphere and food. The grilled fish was good too. Friendly staff. Loved it.

their breakfast is the BOMB! I am addicted to the coffee house. I really like it! I love the atmosphere and the young lady is very pleasant and willing to help me with choice of breakfast. I couldn't ask for anything more in Castara, in the Morning

Bacon, eggs and coconut bake, washed down with orange juice and coffee... The best breakfast in the village! Saturday night BBQ with a steel pan playing some really good stuff. You will not be disappointed!!

The Coffee Shop is owned and operated by the wonderful Williams family and is not to be missed for travelers to Castara. Breakfast here is simply perfect, with scrambled eggs and bacon for the American set, plus coconut bake (try it!), smoked fish, and much more. The coffee is great, as are the other hot drink options - ask for... More

This was our second visit to this delightful village and from experience we knew just where to go for our first breakfast...Cheno's Coffee Shop! We weren't disappointed, lovely coconut bake, scrambled eggs and crispy bacon, copious amounts of tea and coffee just the job to set one up for a lazy day in Castara. On Saturday we headed down for... More
