Shut down when we went there in September. Shame we needed a good place. The harbour front of Nidri is full of tourist traps.
We ate here several times when we were in Nidri in 2010 and it was the first place we made for on this visit. It's just lovely sitting under the vines and enjoying the food which is excellent value. Not as busy as some of the other places which is good too. Last time we came we ordered just about... More
The Ionion is next to Yannis bar and hotel on the port front of Nidri. It is the only restaurant that we visited twice during our stay. Exactly what we were looking for-- amazing, authentic Greek food and friendly service. Located right on the harbour (a little past the sequence of cafes and restaurants)... perfect. BEST food in Nidri!!
The Ionion is at the southern end of the harbour restaurants - we ate there twice during our week in Nidri - a friendly place and it had a more authentic Greek feel than some of the others. We had a meze of 2 or 3 starters and a main course, and with a bottle of wine it was only... More
