  "Myself and my husband stayed here for a 2 night break recently. Definitely a 5-star hotel-no complaints about it. Staff so friendly and helpful from check-in to departure. Our bedroom was beautiful, spotless with A/C. A hugh bathroom, separate bath and very large shower/wet room. The bathrobes and s..."lippers were a lovely bonus. Our bed was huge and very comfortable. We had Afternoon Tea booked just after we arrived and I can't praise it enough. Ate 1 of the nights in the Clubhouse (part of the offer we had) and it was just delicious. Breakfast was buffet style which was good and the morning we checked out we had it in bed (€5 which is very reasonable) which was also excellent and presented beautifully. Lovely bar area, very relaxing. Spent some time in the Hydrotherapy pool which was just what we needed to relax and also paid a visit to the gym during our stay. Beautiful grounds for strolling or jogging, short drive to Cobh or Cork City. We would definitely recommend this beautiful hote... " More >

  "Takes some beating yet can be pricey for what it is?"
  "Stayed here midweek for two nights to avoid crowds and families and was not disappointed.from the moment you walk in the facilities and ambience are excellent.Individual check in desks ,tucked away in alcoves in a subletly lit and tastefully furnished and decorated area.OK..the books in the bookcase..."s are only dummy spines and the objet d'art scattered around on the faux antique furniture pieces are only repository copies judiciously placed but..it is all pleasing on the eye and conveys the generally five star treatment that awaits you. Rooms are spacious and beds are the best and comfiest we have experienced, bedlinen crisp yet duvet cover looked tatty like the laundry staff had rushed it off in a hurry and spoiled the look of the room.(even travelodge get this right!!)But this is the only blot to an otherwise lovely setting.Bathroom huge and all combinations and options including wet area and great toiletries and really fluffy towels like..on their first outing.Quality robes and slip...   "Nice for a short stay (expensive )"
  "Just came home from fota and enjoyed my stay. Found staff very friendly the place is clean and comphy the bathroom .. shower ! wow and the products in the bathroom are fab. The bedroom doesn't have as much wow factor as the bathroom marks on chairs and under the window for a 5 star this is a let dow..."n a lick of paint would cover them up and a good wipe on the chair but these are small things I suppose. I will say the place is very family friendly good few couPles with you g kids even babies :) the lobby area is lovely and my son enjoyed the little play room thst has a tv and toys in it for guests to use the breakfast is lovely all you can eat and huge selection the bar is nice we ate there and found the food fab try the ice cream ! Over all it's a nice place but it's expensive you have to ask could I get near as nice for better value ? I think you could so I would only stay for a short while due to cost. " More >
