Breakfast excellent which included freshly cut prosciutto crudo, cut by the owner himself, along with prosciutto cotto and mortadella, hard-boiled eggs, yoghurt, selection of fruit, freshly cooked sweets and pastry, home-made tarts and jams, a selection of different kind of buns and sliced bread accompanied by tea, coffee or capuccino.   "My wife and I were lucky enough to stay at Dimora Buonriposo for three nights during our honeymoon. It was simply the most wonderful few days of our holiday. The accommodation is utterly stunning, there are superb facilities (infinity pool, hot-tub), elegant and refined rooms (we stayed in the Imper..."io room) and truly jaw-dropping, breathtaking views of the Val D'Orcia. But, what really made our stay were the hosts - Antimo and Marco. They were charming, friendly and helpful - true Italian hospitality. They kindly arranged an excellent Tuscan horse-riding trek and spa entry, provided excellent restaurant recommendations and throughout were kind and gracious, enhancing our stay (not to mention Antimo's glorious cappuccinos each morning!) The moment we arrived we knew we had stumbled across somewhere rare, un-spoiled and magical.   "Absolutely Takes You Back in Time!!"
  "My wife and I stayed at this wonderful place while visiting friends in Sarteano. They live just outside the Castello walls and a short walk from the hotel. The rooms were wonderful and open with tall shuttered windows which we opened at night to enjoy the breeze and the sounds of the Italian night...". I remember a lazy afternoon with the windows open, listening to a music teacher at the school across the courtyard instructing a young trumpet player through his scales! I felt like I was in the 1940's with all the amenities of modern times! The property was beautiful, green and lush with flowers everywhere! At night we could dine al fresco at the restaurant downstairs. The food was authentic and delicious. We wlaked down to the travelling market on Saturday and enjoyed all the sights and food. Sarteano is centrally located and we made day trips to Cortona, Montepulciano, Montalcino,Orviato and other towns all within a short driving distance. This place is a gem and well worth gettin...
