Based on the reviews we were expecting the worst but in fact we were pleasantly surprised and in fact couldn't really fault the hotel for the week we were there. The food isn't anything to sing about although the salad bar and puddings were pretty spot on. At the end of the day they offer enough to cater for everyone's needs. Alcoholic drinks are limited we stuck to beer for the week and the odd red wine with orange juice (bit like Sangria). If you want anything more you have to pay but it was a welcomed break from the fish bowls and pints of vodka lemonade you drink all night down in the bars and clubs.   "We stayed 21st May to 4th June and had an amazing time - we didn't want to leave! The room was good (401 overlooking restaurant), clean with quite comfy beds. We paid 6 euros per day for aircon (which we needed even at the start of the season), 3 euros per day for the fridge and 45 euros for 2 weeks..." safe usage. We really liked the food - didn't make it for breakfast much, or lunch come to that, but dinner was nice - lots of lovely authentic Greek dishes and not chips every day. We were aware of the drinks on offer as we actually read the information about our holiday before booking. The staff were all friendly and polite. Hotel has lovely pool & small restauraunt over looking that, room cleaned everyday & clean towels provided, as well as beach/pool to..."wels..Rooms decent size & good size balcony, have a/c, fridge, kettle, & free wi-fi in room, bathrooms could be better. I just turned up & got a room for 50 Euro a night ( room only) I would say its a hotel for familes & couples. Malia is a busy party town, & popular with the younger guys/gals who like to party in the busy bar strip. Agios Nickolias & Elounda are much nicer resorts, but also lot quieter. " More >
