  "We arrived here after 15 hours of driving and the room was clean and beds were comfortable. That is a relief when you are so tired. The caster on the desk chair was broken and laying on the seat. We told the desk clerk but said don't worry about changing it out as we don't plan to use the desk. ..."The mini fridge was already cold which is nice if you have things to go on ice. We left early so we didn't stay for the breakfast but we usually stay at one of the Clarion/Choice hotels as they are usually a good value. Breakfast has always been good in the past. We asked Chris about a good place close by for dinner and were directed to Mrs. Rowe's - excellent tip. Thanks Chris. This hotel will probably need a revamp in the near future but the value for the money was good. Clean and comfortable are the main things we were looking for and we got it.   "I have to say I am very impressed by Hampton Inn, Staunton. It was clean, the breakfast included satisfactory and staff friendly. The downsides were it was very difficult to find (I admit i used Google maps which rarely fails me, but it did epically with this address.) and we were put in the room ..."on the first floor directly by an outer door to the hallway/lobby which was extremely loud in our room location. I feel very confident that if we had been in another room it would have been a 5 out of 5 stay and because i was honest about the door bothering us till very late and then again very early, and that room cannot be considered equal to another like it without the door issue, they discounted our stay.
